    ATO Pictures Releases Mao's Last Dancer - In Theatres Friday August 20th

    ATO Pictures (co-founded by Dave Matthews) and Samuel Goldwyn Films are pleased to announce the release of MAO'S LAST DANCER opening in 10 cities across the US on Friday, August 20th.

    From Academy Award® nominee Bruce Beresford (DRIVING MISS DAISY, TENDER MERCIES) comes MAO’S LAST DANCER, the inspiring true story of Li Cunxin and his extraordinary journey from a poor upbringing in rural China to international stardom as a world-class ballet dancer.

    Based on the best selling autobiography, MAO'S LAST DANCER weaves a moving tale about the quest for freedom and the courage it takes to live your own life. The film compellingly captures the struggles, sacrifices and triumphs, as well as the intoxicating effects of first love and celebrity amid the pain of exile.

    MAO’S LAST DANCER stars Chi Cao, a gifted dancer and principal at the Birmingham Royal Ballet making his impressive screen debut as Li Cunxin.     Farm Aid Announces Expanded Lineup for 25th Anniversary Concert October 2nd

    Farm Aid announced an expanded lineup today that crosses genres for its 25th anniversary music and food festival on Saturday, October 2, at Miller Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

    Kenny Chesney, Norah Jones, Jason Mraz, Jeff Tweedy, Band of Horses, The BoDeans, Amos Lee and Robert Francis will join Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews at Farm Aid 25: Growing Hope for America. Farm Aid 25 will be an all-day festival and celebration of music, family farmers and good food and will again feature HOMEGROWN concessions—family farm-identified, local and organic foods. Farm Aid’s HOMEGROWN Village will showcase hands-on activities that give concertgoers a chance to meet farmers, get their hands dirty and learn how family farmers are protecting our land and water and connecting us to our roots.

    Dave Matthews Band to Perform at NFL Season Kickoff

    Dave Matthews Band will perform in New Orleans on Thursday, September 9, 2010 prior to the kickoff of the NFL’s 91st season. Dave Matthews Band and Taylor Swift are scheduled to perform at the special pregame show, "NFL OPENING KICKOFF 2010 PRESENTED BY EA SPORTS” – at 7:30 pm ET. The show leads into the season opener between the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings at the Superdome. (NBC, Westwood One Radio Sports, 8:30 PM ET) and is part of the celebration to kick off the 2010 season and to honor the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints and the city of New Orleans. The NBC show will be broadcast live from Jackson Square and there will be simulcast coverage of the 60-minute pregame show which will air from 7:30 – 8:30 PM ET on NBC and NFL Network. The live pregame broadcast will also be available via NFL Mobile only from Verizon.
