    Farm Aid announced an expanded lineup today that crosses genres for its 25th anniversary music and food festival on Saturday, October 2, at Miller Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

    Kenny Chesney, Norah Jones, Jason Mraz, Jeff Tweedy, Band of Horses, The BoDeans, Amos Lee and Robert Francis will join Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews at Farm Aid 25: Growing Hope for America. Farm Aid 25 will be an all-day festival and celebration of music, family farmers and good food and will again feature HOMEGROWN concessions—family farm-identified, local and organic foods. Farm Aid’s HOMEGROWN Village will showcase hands-on activities that give concertgoers a chance to meet farmers, get their hands dirty and learn how family farmers are protecting our land and water and connecting us to our roots.

    Dave Matthews Band will perform in New Orleans on Thursday, September 9, 2010 prior to the kickoff of the NFL’s 91st season. Dave Matthews Band and Taylor Swift are scheduled to perform at the special pregame show, "NFL OPENING KICKOFF 2010 PRESENTED BY EA SPORTS” – at 7:30 pm ET. The show leads into the season opener between the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings at the Superdome. (NBC, Westwood One Radio Sports, 8:30 PM ET) and is part of the celebration to kick off the 2010 season and to honor the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints and the city of New Orleans. The NBC show will be broadcast live from Jackson Square and there will be simulcast coverage of the 60-minute pregame show which will air from 7:30 – 8:30 PM ET on NBC and NFL Network. The live pregame broadcast will also be available via NFL Mobile only from Verizon.

    On Monday, August 2, at 11 am CT Farm Aid co-founders Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp will hold a live webcast at farmaid.org/25 during which details will be revealed about Farm Aid’s 25th anniversary celebration. The 25th anniversary concert event, “Farm Aid 25: Growing Hope for America,” will take place in Milwaukee on October 2, the first time the concert will be staged in Wisconsin. Advance tickets for Farm Aid will be offered to Warehouse members and details will be provided later this week.
