On September 11, 2009, Stefan and several members of the DMB Crew joined volunteers of the San Diego Chapter of Surfrider Foundation for a cleanup of Ocean Beach. Over 130 volunteers helped to pick up over 150 lbs of litter and 3000 cigarette butts from the beach and adjacent sidewalks along the San Diego shoreline.
