On Monday, August 2, at 11 am CT Farm Aid co-founders Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp will hold a live webcast at farmaid.org/25 during which details will be revealed about Farm Aid’s 25th anniversary celebration. The 25th anniversary concert event, “Farm Aid 25: Growing Hope for America,” will take place in Milwaukee on October 2, the first time the concert will be staged in Wisconsin. Advance tickets for Farm Aid will be offered to Warehouse members and details will be provided later this week.
Farm Aid’s mission is to build a vibrant, family farm-centered system of agriculture in America. Farm Aid artists and board members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews host an annual concert to raise funds to support Farm Aid’s work with family farmers and to inspire people to choose family-farmed food. Since 1985, Farm Aid has raised more than $37 million to support programs that help farmers thrive, expand the reach of the Good Food Movement, take action to change the dominant system of industrial agriculture and promote food from family farms. Visit farmaid.org/25 and follow Farm Aid at twitter.com/farmaid for anniversary updates.
